Dear President, Dear General Secretary
On behalf of EBSA Board of Directors, I am writing to provide further information about the EBSA Men’s Championships and EBSA U21s Championships, that were approved by the 2015 AGM to be played as back-to-back events. I am delighted to provide some further advance information about these championships, to assist you in the preparation of your qualifying events.
As you know, we have moved forward the dates of the event to be now played in February 2016. The Championships will take place at the 4 Stars ‘Haston City Hotel’ in Wroclaw (Poland),http://www.haston.pl
The planned timetable for both championships is as follows:
· Sunday 7th February: (6pm) U18’s & U21’s Players meeting + Referees meeting – followed by the opening ceremony.
· Monday 8th February: start of the group matches of the U18’s & U21’s championship.
· Friday 12th February: Semi -finals & final of the U18’s championship.
· Saturday 13th February: Semi-finals & Final of the U21’s championship.
· Sunday 14th February: (6pm) Players & Referees meeting + Opening ceremony of the Men’s event.
· Monday 15th February: start of the matches of the Men’s event.
· Saturday 20th February: Final of the Men’s championship and closing ceremony.
As ever, EBSA will provide further Championship information, entry information, referee nominations, etc., in due course.
I’m also delighted to inform you that, as part of EBSA strategy to improve playing conditions for our members, we have reviewed the field-of-play provision, and I am delighted to inform you that EBSA have signed a contract with STAR, for the provision our championship field-of-play equipment (tables, lights, equipment, scoreboards).
I am sure you will agree this to be a positive move forward in ensuring the best conditions for our players. We will use 20 STAR tables will be installed for the competition in February 2016.
Please note that this information has only been provided to President’s and General Secretaries. Please distribute the information to your NGB Committees as necessary.
